The SEC and the CFTC have extended the compliance date for the 2024 amendments to Form PF from 1 October 2026 to 1 July 2027.
Form PF is the confidential reporting form used by certain SEC-registered investment advisers to private funds.
The agencies say the extension gives them time to consider comments on further amendments proposed in 2026, which would significantly raise the filing threshold and eliminate certain reporting obligations.
They state that the extension is intended to let filers avoid potentially significant costs tied to parts of the 2024 amendments that may be changed or removed.
The release lists advisers to hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds and venture capital funds among those affected.
