The Bank of England and the finance ministry are planning to launch a consultation on the possible rollout of central bank digital currency starting in 2022. The results will shape whether or not U.K authorities move forward with CBDCs, which have been long awaited by many people who want less reliance on cash transactions for safety reasons among others things that could be considered during this process including design features benefits implications user businesses situations
