UK Fintech startup Revolut tops UK’s top 100 startups of 2019

This hot challenger bank has claimed top position in startups.co.uk’s list of the UK’s top 100 startups of 2019 as a result almost definitely of it’s spectacular growth in user base which now counts 5 million customers around Europe and the UK.

Igloo the Energy startup  claimed second place with the more seasoned markUK etplace startup Trouva taking third on the podium. The fintech startup Soldo and Elder, which links families with professional carers, made up the rest of the top five of the list.

Although outwardly topping startups.co.uk list is a sign of success it’s been a difficult year for this challenger bank with the company facing accusations of a “toxic” workplace culture within the workplace and the resignation of Revolut‘s chief financial officer although remains popular with customers by under-cutting forex banks charging expensive fees for foreign transactions and this popularity is reflected in their overseas growth
