Thoma Bravo Closes $2.3 Billion Acquisition of ForgeRock
Thoma Bravo announced today that it has closed its $2.3 billion acquisition of ForgeRock, a leading identity and access management (IAM) software provider.
The deal, which was first announced in October 2022, was cleared by the U.S. Department of Justice in August 2023.
ForgeRock’s products help businesses to secure their systems and applications by providing a single platform for managing user identities and access rights.
The company’s customers include some of the world’s largest organizations, such as Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, and Wells Fargo.
Thoma Bravo said that it plans to invest in ForgeRock’s growth by expanding its product offerings and geographic reach. The firm also said that it is committed to maintaining ForgeRock’s culture and values.
The acquisition of ForgeRock is Thoma Bravo’s latest investment in the cybersecurity sector. In recent years, the firm has also acquired other IAM software providers, such as SailPoint Technologies and Ping Identity.
