Lithunia’s Modus Asset Management acquires a solar portfolio in Latvia from Evecon

Modus Asset Management, a private equity firm based in Lithuania, has acquired a 55MW solar portfolio in Latvia from Evecon, a renewable energy developer.

The acquisition was made through Modus’ Clean Energy Infrastructure Fund, which invests in solar, wind, and battery storage projects in the Baltic States, Poland, and other Central European countries.

The portfolio consists of 10 solar projects located across Latvia.

The projects are all at the late development stage and are expected to be operational by the end of 2024.Modus said that the acquisition is in line with its strategy to invest in renewable energy projects in the Baltic States.

The company said that Latvia has a strong commitment to renewable energy and that the portfolio is well-positioned to benefit from the country’s supportive policies.

The company has developed over 100MW of solar projects in the region.

The acquisition of the Latvia solar portfolio is a major milestone for Modus.
