Bain Capital Raises €6 Bil for European Fund

Bain Capital has raised more than €6bn for its latest European fund, according to Private Equity News.

The US buyout shop has defied the fundraising slowdown with a new pot of capital to spend on the continent, including €750m in Bain Capital co-investment.

This marks the second time in recent years that Bain Capital has raised billions for a European fund.

This is a significant achievement for Bain Capital as it surpasses the size of the firm’s previous Europe fund by nearly 25% each.

In 2018, Bain Capital raised €4.35bn for its fifth European buyout fund, according to Bloomberg. The firm’s latest Tech Opportunities Fund has also raised more than $2bn, with a focus on investing in European technology companies.

Bain Capital’s success in raising funds for its latest European venture is a testament to the firm’s reputation and expertise in the private equity industry.

With significant capital to spend on the continent, Bain Capital is poised to make strategic investments that could drive growth and innovation in the European market.
