CLSA exits Japanese uniform rental and cleaning business Uni-Mate to Karita

As first reported by AVCJ, CLSA Capital Partners (CLSA CP) has sold 100% of uniform rental and cleaning business Uni-Mate to local private equity firm Karita & Company (K&C) for an undisclosed sum.

Uni-Mate is a leading provider of uniform rental and cleaning services in Japan.

The company has over 200,000 customers and operates a network of over 200 branches.CLSA CP acquired Uni-Mate in 2017.

The firm said it is exiting the business now as it looks to focus on other areas of its investment portfolio.
