We checked out google search and noticed that in the UK there’s almost as many monthly google searches for this keyword as there is for Data Scientist Jobs UK. Approximately 500 to 700 searches according to google UK.

This is probably not news to many of you as way back in January 2018 Forbes announced the role as being the best job in America in 2018.

And that was no surprise because being that role has been, according to Forbes, the best job in America for the last three years with a median salary average of $110k!

This is largely caused by a massive surge in stats related roles within companies and a lack of stats science being a “real” or mainstream academic stream for long enough to service the current need. And that’s allowing for students going en masse to sufficiently fulfil current market requirements.

So, quite simply, if you are someone looking for a new job it’s very much a case of show me the money.
